Who can enter and when

Australian and New Zealand residents aged 18+. New Zealand entries are accepted from 24 October 2026. Free entry from 18 October 2026, 9am to 1 November 2026, 9am (Sydney/AEDT). Employees, contractors and their households cannot enter.

How to enter

Leave an original comment of 50 words or less on Barklie's official Good Dog Giveaway Facebook post explaining what makes your dog one of a kind. One entry per person; the first eligible comment counts. You may add your own dog photo in the comments, but this is optional and does not affect judging. You must own any photo you submit and have permission for anyone identifiable in it. Following, tagging friends, sharing, buying and email sign-up are optional and do not affect entry or judging. No form or email subscription is required.

How winners are chosen

This is a skill competition, not a random draw. Two Barklie judges select the three best eligible comments for the three-month supply prizes: originality 40%, bond with your dog 30%, personality 20%, clarity 10%. Ties are decided by originality, then bond, then the judges' assessment of the more distinctive answer. Likes and number of tags do not determine winners. For the separate A$200 Store Credit prize, submit your own short video as a comment on the official post or send it privately to Barklie’s official Facebook or Instagram account by the same closing time. Start with “Barklie, meet [your dog’s name] — the dog who…” and show your dog’s funniest habit. Public posting, sharing and tagging are not required. The same two judges choose the video winner based on humour 50%, originality 30% and personality 20%; ties are decided by originality, then the judges’ assessment. One video per person; you must own the video and have permission from anyone identifiable in it.

Prizes

Three winners each receive three months of Barklie products for one dog, and one winner receives A$200 Barklie Store Credit. Three months means 90 days of supply at the selected products’ label serving instructions for the winning dog. Product selection and quantities may vary by dog; the three supply prizes have a combined retail value of at least A$800, making the total prize pool at least A$1,000. Delivery to Australia and New Zealand is included. Store credit can be used at getbarklie.com without a minimum purchase; delivery of the prize order is included. No payment, purchase or subscription is required to claim. Prizes are not redeemable for cash. An unavailable prize may only be replaced with an equal-or-higher-value prize agreed with the winner.

Winner contact

Judging is completed by 4 November 2026. Winners will be contacted by 8 November by a reply to their entry from Barklie's official Facebook Page and invited to contact that Page privately. Reply within 14 days or the next highest-scoring eligible entry may be selected. Prizes are delivered within 30 days of a valid claim. Barklie never asks for a payment or card details to claim a prize.

Update 24 October 2026: All entries valid under the previously published conditions remain eligible under those conditions. Previously promised prize rights are preserved; this update does not reduce an existing entrant’s A$250 minimum product-package entitlement if selected under the original four-winner judging process. New Zealand eligibility and the video prize apply from this update. The closing time has not changed.

Privacy and platform

Comments and optional photos are public. Barklie uses entries to administer the competition and contacts winners privately for delivery details under its Privacy Policy. Entrants retain their photo rights; any use outside judging requires separate permission. Marketing requires a separate optional sign-up. Facebook and Instagram do not sponsor, administer or endorse this promotion; entrants release them to the extent permitted by law. Consumer rights remain unaffected.
